    Service and Phone number Renewal

    How do I renew?

    A

    Automatically your plan will renew its self. If you stop auto renew service then simply log in to myMacTel portal and renew your plan or upgrade your plan.

    What is auto-renew?

    A

    Auto-Renew are a service that will automatically renew your selected subscription at the end of their subscription term using an active credit card on file.  You will receive email notification 30 days prior to the subscription renewal as a reminder of the date of the renewal and providing the current rate for the renewal.  You will receive a confirmation email once the renewal has been successfully processed.

    This service requires an active valid credit card on file at the time of the renewal. If the payment method fails, the service will be disconnected.  To opt out of auto- renew you must call Customer Care at 416-408-3367

    To enroll in auto-renew, login to your account at myMacTel portal.  Select the Auto Renew button, Turn on auto renew for the subscriptions you wish to have automatically renewed each year.  If you do not have an active credit card on file, you will be required to update the billing information.

    Why does my credit card appear to have been charged or billed twice?

    A

    Your bank may place a temporary “hold” on the transaction amount to secure the funds when your order completes. This “hold” prevents your account from going over your credit limit. Funds held by most “holds” or temporary authorizations are usually released within a week based on your bank policies.

    How do I know when my renewal is due?

    Your subscription renewal dates can be found by logging into your account at myMacTel portal also you will get notification by email.


    Taxes and Other Charges

    Do I have to pay taxes?

    A

    Sales tax applicable, Items ordering from Canada. Taxable item include, but are not limited to MacTel device, Service, activation fee, renewals, Canadian incoming number etc. Applicable HST will appear as a separate line item on your order list.

    Is there an activation fee associated with MacTel?

    Yes, there is ONE TIME activation fee will apply when you start service with MacTel. Please see our Plan&Pricing.

    I am a return customer, Need to pay activation fee again?

    A

    Yes, If your service deactivate and you like to get back MacTel service again need to pay activation fee again.

    Are there any other calling charges?

    A

    Calls are free to the majority of location in Canada. Call to Yukon, Nunavut, N.W.T and independence Rate centers serving rural areas required pre pay credits.

    Are the 911 CALLS free on MacTel Home Phone Service?

    A

    MacTel has agreed with certain emergency communications districts to charge you via email to collect the bill amount imposed by them for your service to dial 911 emergency numbers. As a result, users will be charged $ 20 per 911 call. Such amounts are in addition to any billed amount or fees paid by you for the MacTel Services. You understand and agree that it is essential that you must pay such charges agreeable to the instructions included in any bills you receive. You also agree and understand that the emergency communications district in your region may attempt to collect any amounts from you directly for failure to pay this government-imposed charge. MacTel does not gain any profit or keep any margin from your 911 services bill, and the amounts we collect are transferred over to the appropriate government authority according to their requirements in a very transparent manner.

    No, MacTel not support 311 or directory assistance calling.


    Returns, Exchanges and Replacement

    How do I return my MacTel?

    A

    The MacTel money back guarantee policy ensures your complete satisfactions. If you are not satisfied with your purchase and wish to cancel the service within the 7 days trial, Payment will be refunded upon the following terms, in addition to our existing policies:


    Mactel.ca receives the ATA and any other equipment(s) to be returned.


    Customers are obligated to pay for the shipping fees including shipping back fee.


    Any installation fee or activation fee already occurred is non-refundable.


    You may proceed to cancel by calling us.

    How long do I have to return my MacTel for a refund?

    Once you cancel the service, you have 30 days from the date of you cancel to return your MacTel phone adapter(ATA)and other equipment(s)

    How long will it take to receive a credit if I return the product?

    A

    Within the seven days trial period, once you reach us out through our Call Centre facility and spoke to an Executive requesting the service cancellation, mactel.ca will start working on your refund for the charged amount within 30 business days after receiving your related documents and devices.

    How do I cancel additional year(s) of paid service?

    You may terminate your use of myMacTel at any time. Unused subscriptions are not refundable.

    What is the shipping charge for?

    Shipping Cost $16.99+tax charging for sending the Adaptor(ATA) Box to your Canadian address by MacTel.

    How long will it take to get the adapter on my address?

    Once dispatched, it will take about Seven to fifteen days for the parcel to reach your address.

    Does MacTel have an order policy?

    Warranty and Guarantee

    What happened if my MacTel device stops working?

    A

    Your MacTel device is warranted against component defects for one year after purchase. Should you experience a technical problem with your device during the warranty period, and we determine you need a replacement, you can request a replacement device free of charge. The defective Device must send to MacTel within 7 Days. Return Shipping cost $9.99 + tax will be paid by the customer.


    Free replacement device will shipped by MacTel within 7 days.


    If your devices outside of the one-year warranty, but still under an active period, the cost of a replacement device is $95.00, plus $10.99 shipping , when shipped to a valid Canadian addresses.

    What happened if I lost or damage my device?

    If you lost or Damage but still under an active period, the cost of a replacement device is $25.00, plus $9.99 shipping, when shipped to a valid Canadian addresses.

    Is there a cancellation or early termination fee?

    A

    No, If you like to cancel MacTel service, there is no cancellation, early termination, penalty or other fees. Unused subscriptions for Monthly Plan are not refundable.
